Agricultural Senior Parts Clerk - Agriculture and Commercial Equipment

Our Parts Department is looking for a highly organized, energetic individual to fill an immediate opening for a full-time Senior Parts Clerk. The prime responsibility of the position will be controlling the maintaining accounts, supplying parts, and information to our customers. You will be required to maintain an organized, clean and safe work environment.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and Maintain assigned customer accounts
  • Maintaining a high customer satisfaction level at all times
  • Instill a sense of loyalty and a culture of value over price
  • Proven ability to solve customer concerns in a timely and diplomatic manner
  • Up sell/Cross sell and promote current vendor product deals and promotions
  • Effectively explain product features, benefits and warranty information to customers
  • Ensure that all parts policies and procedures are being followed
  • Ability to work closely and effectively with all dealership departments
  • Ability to outsource  and order parts with alternate vendors
  • Actively participate in all professional training and development as required
  • Ensuring all invoices are accurately logged/tracked on the business management system
  • Verifying the inventory level shown is accurate by performing cycle counts as assigned
  • Ability to look up parts and create invoices for customer orders
  • Comparing the quantity and part numbers of goods against invoices to ensure accuracy
  • Ensure technicians are receiving parts in a timely manner
  • Use strong memory and research skills to build a broad knowledge base
  • Process cash, debit and credit transactions (ie. Sales and returns)
  • Maintain a clean, organised and safe work environment

Required Qualifications:

  • A "Selling" personality
  • Strong computer skills; business managements systems and the MS-Office Suite of products
  • Strong organizational and people skills to operate in a fast-paced and highly interactive team based environment
  • Basic understanding of mechanics
  • Ability to follow costing formulas
  • Experience in a parts or logistics environment
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Effective English and French communication (oral and written) skills
  • A minimum of a high school diploma
  • Ability and qualifications to operate a forklift is an asset
  • Farm experience and/or experience with agricultural equipment is a strong asset

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks and be able to do medium to heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs. 25% of time)
  • Work on your feet on a concrete floor several hours per shift (walking, standing and sitting)
  • Work 42.5 hours per week with availability for a periodic half day Saturday shift
